Hi! My name is Marissa Vicario McFarland (@MarissaVicario on Instagram).
I’m a board-certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, published Author and certified barre instructor.
My love for fitness started at the early age of 18 when I started taking step aerobics classes after school at my local gym in Louisville, Ky. I loved how strong and energized exercise made me feel. By the time I graduated college, I was running and taking boxing and mat Pilates classes.
After moving to New York City in 2004, I took up endurance sports and began running road races, including two Marathons and several Sprint and Olympic-distance Triathlons. Having been a junk food vegetarian from the age of 13, I soon realized that my athletic performance was largely dependent on my nutrition. It didn’t take long before I made the connection between food and fitness and developed a love of whole foods nutrition.
In 2008, I received my nutrition training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and started my private health coaching practice, Marissa’s Well-being and Health.
In 2018, just before my 40th birthday and shortly before my husband and I started IVF treatments to start our family, I discovered TRIM. I initially joined because I was curious to see how I could improve what I was already doing but the results I saw in just TWO ROUNDS blew me away as I became the fittest, most confident, and energized I had ever been. I relied on TRIM through pregnancy and postpartum and I’m now a Mama to my daughter, Valentina.
My mission as a coach has always been to empower women to ditch fad diets and I’m so grateful I found TRIM so I can continue to do that!
