It’s Kelly here! I’m a stay-at-home mom to three little girls and a former elementary school teacher. When I’m not wiping noses or singing the ABCs, I make sure to carve out some time for myself. Because guess what? I’m important! (And it’s totally okay to say that!)
I absolutely love a good workout! Whether it’s sweating it out solo at home, training for a 10K with a friend, or cycling in a dark room with strangers, you name it—I’m there! That was never my issue. But in my 20s, I had a complicated relationship with food. I viewed it as either “good” or “bad.” I’d reward myself with treats, only to feel guilty moments later for “breaking my diet.” My mental space was clouded with endless negative thoughts about my last meal.
Then came my three complicated pregnancies, which turned out to be my biggest physical and emotional challenges. I found myself lowering my activity level and increasing my food intake to cope with the rollercoaster of emotions. I gained 60 pounds during each pregnancy, but I didn’t let that stop me! I embraced the principles of carb cycling, intermittent fasting, and macro tracking to lose the weight and come back stronger than ever.
Now, not only am I healthier than I was pre-pregnancy, but this also brought about a mental transformation. Food drama? Don’t know her! The TRIM community helped me find a balanced lifestyle, giving me ultimate freedom with food and fitness. As a stay-at-home mom, this lifestyle is totally manageable—and you can do it too! Let’s get that sparkle back.
